The Cube (2013): A short film shot in 2013 in the very south of Crimea, just one year before the Russian invasion. Yefanov’s initial aim was a non-human portrait of a concrete cube standing on the seashore. Now the access to the territory, where the cube is located, is forbidden, even for Russians in Crimea.


The Cube (2024): A virtual reconstruction of a currently inaccessible location, based on memories and dreams The basis of the reconstruction is not the actual physical parameters, but rather the idea that dominates the memory of the place.
